ˇ@It has been two months since the tragedy of September eleventh. Its effect, however, is still burning all over the world. Due to the fact that the United States has begun its attack on Afghanistan, the tragedy seems to be perpetuated. The effect of war will be to bring more terror to the world.
ˇ@Justice can be achieved in many ways. War is not the only way, but is possibly the most primitive and uncivilized. The order that has been given for the military to bomb Afghani soil is very likely the beginning of more atrocities and more misery.
ˇ@According to religious teachings, ˇ§putting downˇ¨ is the way to spiritual freedom. When suffering, forgiving is the way for one to put down and to be freed from this suffering. One should never ignore the laws of cause and effect. The one who commits a crime will be left with a bitter taste. The terrorist regime has committed a crime; however, Americaˇ¦s attack on Afghanistan, while causing innocent lives to be injured or destroyed, will in turn be counted against the American people as well.
Tolerance and forgiving will only bring blessings in the future. War is destructive and will only bring negative consequences. The only way for anyone to be free from the horror of September eleventh is to forgive. The one who forgives is divine. It is encouraging to see the peace parades held by people all over the world: war is not the solution.
Every being is valuable and precious. Like you and I, no one wishes to be hurt, and no one wishes to lose oneˇ¦s home and loved ones. Why are we so eager to hurt others?
