The University of North Texas Fencing Club will officially be practicing in the Ken Bahnsen Gym on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:15pm - 11:15pm this semester. Our first practice is scheduled for Wednesday September 16th. Please do not go into the gym earlier, as we've been told there will be a class going on during that time. If you arrive early, please congregate outside the gym (weather permitting). I will be arriving around 9:45, but we will have something in store for you at the start of practice, I promise.

The University of North Texas Fencing Club will NOT be meeting tonight, Monday September 14th. Most likely our first practice of the semester will happen on Wednesday September 16th. Please stay tuned to this website for further information.

Mark your calendars, the first Informational Meeting for the University of North Texas Fencing Club will be Tuesday, September 8th from 8-10pm in the Rec Center, rooms 205 & 207. If you, or anyone you know is even remotely interested in the sport of fencing, we welcome you to come out and learn a bit about the club and long and glorious tradition of the sport. We will have waivers on hand so that we can get as much preliminary paperwork out of the way as we can so we can start this semester's practice as smoothly as possible. I'm sure I speak for the rest of the officers in hoping we have a great semester and look forward to seeing our returning membership again, as well many new faces on the piste this year.

A New Semester

So, some how I forgot to put up my congratulatory message for the new officers!
And I still have my moderator status (which, I'm sure, will be amended quickly after this post).
I had a great year as president. We had some issues and some new hurtles, but nothing we couldn't handle as a club.
I'm confident that in the hands of your new officers, the UNT Fencing Club will continue strong.
I thought I was leaving, but I'll still be around - Just playing a much smaller role.
