Extruder Design....
The south section of SPE will be supporting the design and manufacture of 2 extruders. Both extruders will be designed and manufactured by a group of undergraduate students from the Department of Engineering Technology as their Senior Design Project. One of the extruders will be displayed in the Manufacturing Engineering Lab for educational and practical purposes. The other will be exhibited in the Woodlands Children Museum to promote awareness of plastic. This project will be directed by Dr. D'Souza as their Chief Engineer and M.S. student, Emmanuel Ogunsona as their supervisor.

New VP and Treasurer
Koffi Dagnon, a new Ph.D student that has shown a lot of potential through the activities in the chapter has been elected as the vice president.  Emmanuel Ogunsona, an M.S. student has also been elected a the treasurer of the chapter. A statement made by him " I have not only come to absorb knowledge, but to impact knowledge in whatever way I can. I do not only want to pass through the university but also that the university passes through me."

Polyolefin 2007
Student members attended the polyolefin conference in Houston, TX in February. Poster presentations and ushering during the presentation were rendered.
