HALLOWEEN

What is Halloween? The name mcans-hallowcd" or "holy evening"
because it takes place the day before the Roman Catholic All Saints Day,
which was established in the 1700's. However, pagan and superstitious
symbols and practices are connected with this day (black cats,
jack o'lanterns, witches, etc.). Because of its connection with the
evil spirit world, Christians do not celebrate or emphasize it as a holiday.
However. many parties and harvest festivals are held at the same time of year.
