| August 10, 1999 Dear Christian International Student, Summer is nearly over and a new school year is about to begin. We as a group have a lot of new plans! You are at the heart and center of them. We are going to try to improve our communication, since some people have been missed with the e-mail. If you have e-mail, please make sure we have your address so you can be regularly informed. Our retreat was a great time of fellowship, fun and planning together. God blessed us and we felt His love and Presence. Now we want to get to work to carry out some wonderful ideas you all came up with. First, each of you need to know that there is a Fellowship group meeting on or near both UNT and TWU each week. The UNT meeting is at 7:00 P.M. every Monday at the apartment of Marigladys, Annie and Vivian, 1111 Collier, #2. Prayer time there is from 7:45 to 8:30. The time and location for the TWU group will be announced as soon as we have it. Please join one of these groups for the close fellowship you need with other Believers. Once a month there will be a Christian Leadership Training (CLT) time when continual ministry plans will be made in addition to sharing and praying together. Potiuck dinner will begin at 6:30 P.M. The first meeting will be on August 21 at Phil & Nancy's, 2015 Bowling Green. Each of you may have the meeting in your apartment one month if you desire. It would be good to take turns showing hospitality to others as Scripture commands. A Welcome Picnic for new students is planned for September 11. All of you are needed to help plan and carry out the details for that event. A Prayer Chain is being organized. Pauline Cheng will head it up. When someone has a prayer request, they will call her. She in turn will call another who will call another and so on. Each one on the chain will call one person. Pray immediately and often for the request. If you want to be part of this, let us know. Soon we will have as complete a list as possible of the names, addresses and phone numbers of the Christian students for you. Each one of you is very dear to us and we thank God for you and pray for you all the time! Let's keep close to the Lord and to one another, always loving each other in word and action and let our testimony in this way speak to those who don't yet know the Savior. Please call us for any
