About Rush

What exactly is RUSH? For Alpha Phi Omega, RUSH occurs during the first 2 weeks of school and is intended as a time for you as newcomers to get to know us and vice versa. During RUSH we have 2 different types of activities (informational meetings and rush events), neither of which are mandatory and both of which are intended to help you get to know more about us.

Informational meetings will be held in the Crumley Conference Room (ground floor of Crumley Hall, straight back past the front desk, all the way to the back around the right hand side). We have several for the convenience of everyone, but you only need to attend one because the information will be the same. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact our Rush/PR representative, Meghan Fitzgerald

We will also have info tables somewhere in the Union or just outside it. We won't know an exact location in the Union until the specific days we set up the tables so please come and find us! We'll be there somewhere.

Our RUSH events are just fun activities and fellowship times so you can come hang out with us or do community service with us. Unlike other fraternities, we DO NOT HAZE or make you do anything you don't want to. We do not choose you to be a part of us--you choose us!

Before every RUSH event, except for the info meetings, we will meet behind Wooten Hall (the side that faces the parking lot and Welch Street) 20 minutes before the event so you can find us and get a ride. If the event is on campus, then please meet there.

Actives, please come to as many info meetings and RUSH events as possible to help out.
