Cammy Gaston grew up in San Diego, California where she graduated from San Diego State University. She moved to Texas in 1983 to attend Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. She received her Master of Divinity Degree in 1988 and has served in the North Texas Conference for nearly 20 years. She served a two year residency at Methodist Hospitals of Dallas in Clinical Pastoral Education. Cammy is married to Matt Gaston, the pastor of First United Methodist Church - Denton. They were also founding pastors of a new church start, and have served together and separately as a clergy couple. They have one teenage son. He loves to play sports and frequents the video games at The Wesley Foundation. Cammy has a wide breadth of experience in ministry covering all ages and stages of life. She has served as the Conference Coordinator of Youth, directed children’s camps, worked with SEEK campers (children with special needs), led adult spiritual life and marriage retreats, and mentored college students. Presently she serves as the North Texas Conference Residency Facilitator, meeting weekly with the new ministers of the Conference. But most of all she wants you to know that she loves her job at the Wesley Foundation, as she says, “It is so cool to be with students on their journey through college.”
Trevor Shaw Trevor Shaw has been the Minister of Music at the Denton Wesley Foundation since Fall of 2001. He is a UNT Graduate of the College of Music and a One O'clock Lab Band member playing the trombone. His musical accomplishments include singing as a tenor soloist at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Denton, performing as the lead trombonist in the Disneyland College All Star Band, currently serving as Music Director at Lake Cities United Methodist Church in Lake Dallas, TX.
Mickey "Mom" Stroup Mickey was born in Denison, Texas. She is married to Kelvin Stroup and reside in Denton, Texas. Mickey has three children, all are graduates of the University of North Texas and past members of the Denton Wesley Foundation As Business Administrator , she's been taking care of us since December 2001 and everyone refers to her as "Mom". She wants you to know, "Where Love is present, there is always room for one more. The Denton Wesley Foundation has room for you in our family."
