Miniature and Pop-Up Book Drive
Willis Library's Rare Book and Texana Collections recently added its 1000th volume to the Miniature Book Collection, making it one of the largest such collections in the Southwest. The collection contains miniature books from over 20 countries, ranging from a mid-1600’ s central European book of hours, to 21st century American mass-market pieces.

The Pop-Up Book Collection contains over 300 toy and movable books, dating back to the early 1800’s. It includes books from several countries, and unique "production archives" of working models of pop-up books that were never published. It draws attention from around the world from scholars, designers, and people who enjoy the world of pop-ups.

In order to facilitate the growth of these important holdings, the Tau Delta chapter is sponsoring an ongoing book drive for miniature and pop-up books. The staff of the Rare Book Room welcomes donations from anyone who would like to participate, and will accept new or gently-used miniature and pop-up books, items from their Amazon Wish List, or cash donations.

Simply take your donation to the Rare Book Room on the fourth floor of Willis Library, and indicate that your contribution is part of the Sigma Tau Delta Book Drive. Your donation will join others as part of a special display of Sigma Tau Delta donations in the Rare Book Room.
