Welcome to the University of North Texas' Tau Delta chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society! 

Sigma Tau Delta was founded in 1924 at Dakota Wesleyan College. Today there are over 600 chapters around the world. We confer distinction upon outstanding students of the English language and literature in undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies. 

We're proud to be one of the most vital, active chapters in our organization – in 2001, we were named an "Excellent Chapter" at our annual national conference.
