The Student Investment Group (SIG) is a student operated money management organization based in the University of North Texas' College of Business Administration. The mission of SIG is to provide real world financial investment education to both graduate and undergraduate students of any major or classification. The goal of SIG is to build our base portfolio to a principal amount of $1,000,000, of which additional earnings will be awarded to SIG members as scholarships!

SIG was founded in 2003 by the generous donation from Col. Guy M. Cloud as a scholarship endowment fund. The organization is comprised of committees in the areas of portfolio management, organizational affairs, economics, accounting, and auditing. Through the integration of real investment practice and academic theory, SIG engages students in the learning process by actively investing in the stock market to meet and exceed its obligations to its stakeholders. Get involved and let us plant the roots for your financial future!

Semester Ending Executive Committee meeting on Tuesday, April 22nd in Terrill Hall 120 @ 5pm-6:15pm.

Remember those of you that need SIG for class credit have to show up and sign the attendance sheet.

• We will be introducing Next Semesters SIG Leaders!
• The R.I.S.E event that 10 SIG members got to attend! It was fantastic and we want to share our experiences with you. We also want all you new members to get excited as you will have this opportunity next year!
• Our Portfolio Performance for 2007 and a breakdown of what we now own.
• We are adding China Mobile and Phillip Morris Int'l to our portfolio. You can find the presentations on our website at our portfolio page.
• It's going to be a great meeting! Don't miss it.

Redefining Investment Strategy Education IX

SIG will be attending the Redefining Investment Strategy Education conference in March of '09. We are seeking funding to take up to 10 students again! SIG Senior Analysts received Scholarships!
