The Audit Committee

The Auditing Committee (AUC) is specifically for students pursuing an education and career in Accounting. With increasing SEC regulations like Sarbanes Oxley and the convergence of international and domestic accounting principles, auditing skills are crucial in the corporate world. The Audit Committee is charged with ensuring the accuracy of all filed reports and transactions of SIG. Auditing Committee responsibilities include:

Review the reporting of all transactions within SIG

Assure all records filed comply with GAAP

Publish a statement of accuracy each semester

Create and maintain the Auditing Committee policy manual
