Auditing Committee
The Auditing Committee (AUD) is specifically for students pursuing an education and career in Accounting. With increasing SEC regulations like Sarbanes Oxley and the convergence of international and domestic accounting principles, auditing skills are crucial in the corporate world. The Audit Committee is charged with ensuring the accuracy of all filed reports and transactions of SIG.
Auditing Committee responsibilities include:
- Reviewing the reporting of all transactions within SIG
- Assuring all records filed comply with GAAP
- Publishing a statement of accuracy each semester
- Creating and maintaining the Audit Committee policy manual
