       WARHAMMER 40K

The Chronicle of a Million Battles

Ahh, warhammer. You are like the mistress I pamper while my own wife goes hungry.. Such an expensive and enjoyable hobby.,... Oh well, here is your page my love:

Thus far Section 6 has had only a few minor skirmishes involving myself, korse, and minister jeremy. I chose the Space Marines since I got 20 with the Main Box Set, and a few more from paint kits and the old five finger discount. Korse chose the Tyrannids, due I'm sure to their high rulebending value. Finally, my ocassional ally in Warhammer endeavors Jeremy, chose the Sisters of Battle.

Here are force rundowns of our various armies:

Kevin's Space Marines
1 Captain with Terminator Honors
2 Tactical Squads, Space Marines
1 Library (Epistolarian)
1 Techmarine
1 Ultramarines Style Dreadnaught
1 Terminator Chaplain
1 Evesor Assassin

Jeremy's Sisters of Battle
1 Sister Superior
actually, i need to check on the exact roster. Jeremy's core force came from a freaking Citadel Boxed Army Set!!! So, Daddy Warbucks has a pretty decent sized army to say the least.

Korse's Tyrannids
3 Tyrannid Warriors
12 Genestealers
12 Termagaunts
a lictor and some hormagaunts are on their way.... shiver

So far we have had about ten battles of various sizes. I am happy to report that my Imperial Space Marines have triumphed in almost every one. I have found that my dreadnaught is an exceptional weapon of destruction. Almost every battle centers around it, either as I employ it to lay down withering close fire support, or as my opponents rush headlong into battle with it, ignoring my other forces...

A weapon that many haved learned to fear is the Tyrannid barbed strangler. It is beyond an annoying weapon. Korse has used it twice to rather horrendous effect.

Another weapon which has found widespread acceptance is the melta. Jeremy and I have found many many uses for the melta weapons. I know his sisters have saved my collective ass many times with the.
