Model International Organization

This is my first year at North Texas, and since I moved to Texas, I wanted to study International Studies to broaden my perspective on widely controversial issues. I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia- a country that is deeply afflicted by a bloody drug war, which is so often stereotyped abroad as the land of drug dealers; my goal is to one day become an ambassador or perhaps an interpreter for the United Nations. For this reason, since I joined the Model International Organization, it has helped me to not only respect others’ opinions even more, but also, to move forward towards my career goals.
