LISSA Meeting Minutes
December 11, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm. The following members attended:

Artemida Kabashi, president
Mandie Rhodes, vice president
Lauren Ko, secretary
Emily Billings, member-at-large
Jennifer Lafleur, member-at-large

Business:

1. Officers discussed what events they plan to sponsor in the spring. Events to be sponsored are Let's Talk and the Lazerow Lecture.

2. President Artemida Kabashi proposed not to have All School Day in Spring 2008 because of the TLA conference that will be held in Dallas. LISSA will encourage students to attend this event and will look into discount tickets to the UNT alumni reception.

3. LISSA will meet with new SLIS students at the spring Web Institute at an informal dinner that will occur at a local restaurant.

4. Outgoing LISSA members are Sean Fitzpatrick and Sharon Cardwell.

5. Christine Willard was voted a new member-at-large, and Emily Billings was voted new parliamentarian.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm.
