Library & Information Sciences Student Association
Welcome to the University of North Texas Library & Information Sciences Student Association (LISSA)!! All students enrolled in the UNT School of Library & Information Sciences (SLIS) are automatically members of LISSA. Our goal is to enhance the professional careers and academic experience of members while they are students of SLIS. Serving as an umbrella for intra-student body communication among SLIS professional groups like ASIST, TLA, and SLA, LISSA seeks to provide a forum in which the ideas and opinions of its members may be presented to faculty and administration. In addition, through participation in LISSA programs, seminars, and social activities, members can be assured of a broader graduate university experience and will thereby be better prepared to join the information professions and serve society-at-large. Please join us at our next meeting, online chat, or event! You can also speak with other students about LISSA through the LISSA topic in the discussion board of the SLIS village or leave comments on the LISSA blog.
