With over 30,000 students, the University of North Texas is the leading institution of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Many of its 98 bachelor's, 125 master's and 46 doctoral degree programs are nationally recognized.
Because it is state funded, the university offers private school quality at an affordable cost. The university's 17:1 student-faculty ratio provides an excellent learning environment. Professors and staff are friendly and helpful, encouraging students to achieve their best. Students in most majors receive hands-on experience in their fields before graduation. UNT has more computers per student than other Metroplex universities. Training is available to teach students how to become leaders. Students may become involved in campus activities through more than 250 student organizations, including 16 fraternities and 11 sororities. Scholarships and financial aid are available, and many students schedule their classes around part-time jobs on or off campus. UNT is conveniently located in Denton, a city of 75,000 people about 35 miles north of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex on Interstate 35. |
