About
IAEM-SC
Why create a Student Association?
Recent global awareness in the field of Emergency Management
has facilitated an exponential growth in Emergency Management
education programs and the number of students as well. This created a
strong need for an international association for students seeking
degrees in the field of Emergency Management. Through uniting these
students, IAEM-SC hopes to facilitate additional development in the
field and support students on their path to careers in Emergency
Management. The International Association of Emergency
Management-Student Council not only serves to link Emergency
Management students around the world, but also to their community.
We work with University of North Texas alumni, staff at our
school, and other locals in the field to help create a new learning
environment outside of the classroom. IAEM-SC members have participates in
local events and training. This not only helps students to network, but
also gives them more knowledge and experience to take to the workplace
after they graduate.
IAEM-SC has great growth potential and will be an asset to a
student's development in the field of Emergency Management. Furthermore,
IAEM-SC facilitates an image of professionalism while it fosters the
growth of interest in the field of Emergency Management.
