The expenses, if any, of producing this Web Site are paid by GSA member dues, and grant(s), underwriting, from The Center for Studies in Aging in the Department of Aging of the Applied Gerontology Program at the University of North Texas at Denton, Texas. The GSA is the Alpha Epsilon Chapter of the Sigma Phi Omega National honor society.
Sigma Phi Omega is the National Honor Society formed in 1980 to recognize the excellence of those who study gerontology and aging as well as of the professional personnel in aging services. SPO seeks to promote scholarship, professionalism, friendship, and services to older persons, and to recognize exemplary attainment in gerontology and aging studies and related fields.
We do not solicit or accept funds from entities outside our membership or the University of North Texas. We do not advertise or accept advertising from any for profit entity. We do post career information about jobs in the field of Gerontology for use by anyone, especially our members. We do not endorse any one company or product, nor do we intend to. Our purpose is to strive for professionalism, provide information, and facilitate academic and social unity between students, faculty and the Aging Network. The friendships developed through these activities will deepen the concern for and understanding of our duty of care for older people.
