Geography Club

The Geography Club is a student organization at University of North Texas, that welcomes all students who are interested in geography.   The objective of the Geography Club is to promote interest in Geography, the Major and the Geography Department along with fellowship among students and faculty.  To represent student needs and wants in regard to the study of geography and to provide a forum for the presentation of innovative ideas to the benefit of the University community.

Being a University of North Texas student, faculty, alumni, or staff member is one of the requirements. Having an interest in geography, community service and having fun is the other. There is not a fee to join, we just ask that you register, which places you on our announcement list that is periodically sent out via email.  It includes upcoming events, minutes from the last meeting, and future plans of the Geography Club. We understand that a lot of the UNT students work and have other commitments, the amount of participation is up to the member. Attend what you can, when you can!

Are you interested in joining? Send your name and email address to:  Join Geography Club or contact an Officer or advisor listed below.

Favorite Geography Class: Intro to Groundwater Hydrology.

What you should know about me: I love the outdoors! I was born and raised in Dallas, but don't fool yourself, I've traveled all over the US & even Italy.  I'm really into sports and I've played soccer for about 17 years now.  I played at Jacksonville State University my first year of college and I finally cqalled it quits after.  Now I'm enjoying being a full time college student!  I love learning, and meeting new people.  Come here often?? Sometimes I have so much energy in class I can't sit still... that's pretty much every day actually.  I can't decide where to go for Grad school yet, too many options!  Geography is probably the best path I could have choosen for myself, and it really just seems to fit.
