A GREAT EXPERIENCE FOR ALL THE BROTHERS

The 2nd Delt Camping Trip was just as great as the first! The brothers, including the pledge class, made the return trek to Oklahoma's Lake Murray for what has become an enriching brotherhood experience. The Big Brother Ceremony also took place on this trip, giving the pledges a since of unity while each receiving his big brother. The little/big brother pairings are: Jason Daly/Justin Morgan, Cody McLees/Matt Ernest, Barry Stiglets/Joe DeFrancesco, Josh Hissem/Josh Bacon.

DELT ATHLETICS: B-BALL TEAM SECURES PLAYOFF BERTH

The Delt Basketball Team will make it to the Intramural Greek B-League Playoffs this spring, as a result of their record to date (3-2). Thursday night, the Delts added to the win column as a result of a Sigma Nu no-show for the rematch game between the two teams. The Delts won their prior Sigma Nu match-up on February 9. The third Delt win came against Lamda Chi last Thursday night. Unfortunately, the Delts have had their struggles against the Phi Delt team, with losses in both games played February 5 and 16. The Delts will play Lambda Chi again this Monday, the 23rd at 10 p.m.

UNT DELTS AWARDED ADOPT-A-SCHOOL AWARD AT DIVISION CONFERENCE

UNT Crescent Colony received another award this past weekend at the Western Plains Division Conference in Lincoln, Nebraska. The award was given to the Colony for its particpation and leadership in the Adopt-A-School program. Adopt-A-School is the Fraternity's headline philanthropy project. The purpose of Adopt-A-School is to get involved with the community by impacting the lives of elementary school kids and Fraternity members through the mentor relationships established.

Representing the undergraduate Colony at the conference were Jason Andrews, Chris McDonald, and Justin Morgan. UNT helped lead a discussion on campus and community involvement with other Delt chapters in the conference. Jason and Chris made their second trip to the conference, last year going to Oklahoma City. Also representing the Colony, on the alumni front, were Tim Nelson and Ed Menkemeller. Tim is the Colony Advisor and Ed the House Corporation President. Many insights and ideas on chapter management, leadership, and brotherhood were brought back by these men. They have the task of sharing these ideas with the members to better the Colony and its future.
