Scott Case; 18; Conroe, Texas; Freshman; Undecided.

Barry has been enrolled at the University of North Texas for the past five semesters after transferring from San Jacinto Junior College. Barry came to North Texas on the advice of a close friend who suggested "looking for greener pastures." He has a cumulative GPA of 2.40. Prior to his involvement with Delta Tau Delta, Barry (along with his many retail jobs) served two terms as director of publicity for the Clark Hall Association, organizing events, creating advertisements, and coordinating specific social activites. Barry contributes to the North Texas colony as a attending member of IFC. Barry is also in part responsible for the activites commitiy. In the Summer and Fall of 1998, Barry will also be particaping on the Rush Committe in an effort to bring more North Texas students to reap the benifits of membership in Delta Tau Delta. In his spare time, Barry likes to paint, write (he is a published author), work on projects with his brothers, both fraternity and blood, play music, and sketching/drawing. Barry also tends to let his spontanious nature get the better of him, even to the point of giving LONG impromtu speeches in colony meetings in an effort to reaffrim the values that he had learned in his time spent as a pledge and a active. Since his bid, pledge ship, and colony inatiation Barry as seen himself change from a student with a nose ring and purple hair, to a pledge with no idea, to finally what he hopes a Delt is and should be. Barry believes he has found an organization based in the things that are lacking in the world. Truth, courage, faith, and power focused through brotherhood. "When I went to Daytona Beach for Spring Break and met some Delts from Ohio, Moorehead, and other schools, they showed me the love they have for one of their own. It was then I knew that Delts are not made. They are born." After ination, Barry plans to remain active with Delta Tau Delta, no matter where he goes. As an undergraduate, he plans to give his school years to his brothers, the arch chapter, and the Coat of Arms. After graduation, he plans to continue helping show young men the way of life that is Delta Tau Delta, the way of life that will give them the tools needed for success in the world abroad and in themselves.
