Dustin Smith; 20; McKinney, Texas; Junior; B.S. Communication Design.

Dustin has been enrolled at the University of North Texas for the past three years. He came to UNT on a scholarship after graduating in the top 10% of his class. Dustin currently has a cumulative GPA of 3.91 and has made either the President's or Dean's list every semester.

Prior to becoming a member of Delta Tau Delta, Dustin was involved with the University Program Council (UPC) for two years. He contributed his ideas and assisted in carrying them out.

Dustin contributes to the Colony as an undergraduate by serving as the Director of Academic Affairs, in an effort to help the Colony as a whole achieve one of its primary obligations. In addition, he has participated in Adopt-a-School at McNair Elementary and picked up garbage along the road adopted by the Colony (Adopt-a-Spot).

Dustin enjoys spending his spare time going to the movies, watching television, and going to concerts. In addition, he likes to draw, take pictures, and engage in other creative activities. Dustin is also a neat freak, though some say obsessive-compulsive (whatever). Therefore, a lot of time is spent keeping things organized and clean. Lastly, Dustin has an unhealthy fixation, or rather addiction, with buying c.d. at the music store.

Dustin has learned a great deal BEYOND the classroom, since joining Delta Tau Delta. He has learned to interact better with people, and not to be "as" shy. Being a Delt means quite a bit to Dustin. It means constantly doing his best to not only better himself, but the fraternity as a whole. It means committing yourself to excellence and knowing where you are going to go in the world.

After initiation, Dustin plans to continue his involvement in Delta Tau Delta. He plans to help make it a strong, revered organization on campus, as well as in the community. Whether he maintains his role as the Director of Academic Affairs, or decides to take on an alternate role, is uncertain. However, he will always give his all to the betterment of Delta Tau Delta.
