Cody McLees, Founding Father '98

Cody is currently a freshman at the University of North Texas (UNT). He decided to come to UNT after graduating from Keller High School because of their excellent business school.

Since his father has to relocate from state to state, Cody has never lived in one place for a long period of time. Currently he has been in the North Texas area for almost five years. He was born in Minneapolis, MN and lived there for nearly eight years. From there Cody has moved to Fargo, ND and then to Seattle, WA. If you need to talk to someone about the process of starting over, and making new friends, he is the man to talk to.

Cody's contributions as an undergraduate member of the Colony so far are very minimal. This is his first semester as a member of the fraternity but is trying his best to become a leader and earn the respect of his peers. Cody was elected to Assistant Treasurer in February, and is a very active member in intramural sports. He also participated in Greek Week 1998 as a member of Team Nu, and performed in a dance competition along with singing as part of the choir. Cody still wants to learn more about the fraternity, so he can make it a stronger part of the Greek community.

Cody likes to play nearly all sports imaginable, that is just part of his competitive nature. Along with that, he also likes to collect sports cards and listen to music. Whenever he can, he also enjoys going to sporting events and cheering on the local sports teams. For the most part Cody is a quiet guy, but he really enjoys going out and having fun with his friends!

So far what being a Delt means to Cody is a place to go to be among friends that can give advice, and be there when you need them the most. As a freshman, Cody is the Assistant Treasurer and takes part in a very active role on how the fraternity is run and operated. His ideas take just as much precedent as anyone else's. He is glad to be given the opportunity to show all of his fraternity brothers that he has the drive and motivation to keep going and make this Chapter of Delta Tau Delta the best it can be.

Cody after just completing his first semester at UNT currently has a 2.8 Cumulative GPA. He currently works at a Kroger in Ft. Worth in the produce department, and lives in an apartment in the Denton area. When he works, he assumes the role of manager and takes care of all of the business at hand. He goes to visit his parents and work on the weekends, then devotes his time to school and the fraternity during the week. His goal for the fraternity is to help get it on its feet so after he graduates he can come back and see how his contributions made the fraternity flourish and become great.
