The Fraternity stresses the importance of community service. In our commitment to lives of excellence, strengthening community is essential to our vitality, and one aspect of the Colony's own mission is to provide leadership and support for the evolvement of the community. Through our various philanthropies, we look beyond ourselves and beyond our Fraternity by recognizing the contributions we make to our community. ("Philanthropy" being synonymous with community service.)

Adopt-A-School Logo

Adopt-a-School is our continual philanthropy project where each week we go into a local school and serve as mentors and tutors for kids. The Denton ISD school we have adopted is Borman Elementary. We are helping fourth-graders with their reading, writing, and math skills in preparation for the TAAS test they will soon be taking. This experience will be one that benefits not only the kids and the community, but ourselves too. Serving others helps shape our future contributions and leadership potential.

Adopt-a-Spot

We have teamed up with the Ladies of ADP for the responsibility for the cleanliness and upkeep of a stretch of Bonnie Brae from the I-35 intersection south to Willowwood. The Ladies have big plans for the transformation of our spot and together we will do our best to make it a place to be proud of.

Other Philanthropies

Other smaller, but still important, philanthropies are our members' participation in the blood drives held on campus, assisting other organizations with their philanthropies, and more are on the way. . .
