The American Society for Quality (ASQ) is the leading quality improvement organization in the United States. ASQ members have initiated most of the quality methods used throughout the world, including statistical process control, quality cost measurement and control, total quality management, failure analysis, and zero defects.

ASQ has more than 109,000 individual and 1,100 corporate sustaining members worldwide. Individual members belong to one of 252 local Sections located throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and an International Chapter. ASQ also has 22 industry- and topic-specific Divisions.
