Frequently Asked Questions

Is it really an albino squirrel?
Yes!

How many are there?
As far as we can tell, there is only this one baby.

I saw an albino squirrel 'X' semesters ago. Is this the same one?
No, this is a new baby first spotted in early April, 2004. He is much smaller than Thelonius (the albino squirrel that led to the formation of the ASPS).

Is it a boy or a girl?
All evidence thus far indicates that our precious squirrel is in fact a male. If you have evidence to the contrary, please e-mail me and let me know.

What's his name?
Unlike his predecessor, Thelonius, this baby will likely go un-named, officially. For reference, we refer to him as baby. The ASPS feels that it is better for each person to come to know baby as whatever they feel most appropriate. Should it be necessary, we will have an election to name baby. If you have names you currently use, please write and share with us, and we'll post them here.

Where does he live?

Does he really bring good luck on exams?
Of course! Many students have reported making a higher than usual grade after seeing him before an exam, on their way to class. If you have a success story you'd like to share, please write us!

How can I see him?
Click on the Map up above and walk by. Chances are, you'll see him, or at least a small crown looking for him.

Does he know he's albino?
Not so far as we can tell. He plays and acts like any other squirrel. He hides by crawling around trees, apparently oblivious to the fact that he stands out immensely.

What does this organization do?
Our goal is to raise awareness of this unique creature, and all squirrels campus-wide, so that they may be protected and not harassed. He makes our campus special, and, being albino, requires someone to look out for him since he stands out so much.

Are you for real?
Yes we are.
