ALAS Mission Stament:Text Box: The primary purpose of the Association of Latin American Students is to represent the Latino student body at the University of North Texas. To increase the awareness of the Latino culture at the University of North Texas. To assist and encourage its members in achieving high academic standards. To establish and assist in recruiting efforts of Latino students, faculty and staff into the University of North Texas. To promote the involvement in community services. To assist in the betterment of Latinos within the surrounding communities.
