About the UNT Student Chapter of ACDA

The UNT Student Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association is a student affiliate of the national organization, ACDA. The organization is dedicated to the promotion of the choral arts and music education.

The UNT student chapter dedicates itself to furthering the skills and knowledge of future choral conductors studying at the University of North Texas.

Each month, the chapter presents an installment of the Enrichment Series lectures which focus on skills not covered in the traditional curriculum of a choral music education student or choral conducting graduate student. See the history link for past presentations.

In addition to the Enrichment Series, the student chapter works diligently to serve the College of Music community through a variety of service projects. Past projects have included: serving as ushers at choral concerts and voice recitals and distributing faculty Christmas cards.

The group also serves as the UNT College of Music's representatives at state and regional conventions.
