Audre Lorde Scholarship Award
The Audre Lorde Scholarship Awards are designed to recognize out lesbians and gay men of color who are making significant contributions to their communities. ZAMI wants to support and encourage their continuing education by providing scholarships to those women and men enrolled in accredited technical, undergraduate and graduate programs. In 2005, the Fund awarded thirteen $1000 scholarships. For more info visit:

Transgender Scholarship and Education Legacy Fund
The International Foundation for Gender Education (IFGE), awards numerous scholarships to transgender identified students in the helping and caring professions through it's collaborative Transgender Scholarship and Education Legacy Fund (TSELF) in the United States and Canada. Each scholarship provides supplemental funding for post-secondary students who have a demonstrated ability in and commitment to affecting change in the transgender communities through their commitment to working and being educated in the helping and caring professions. These include, but are not limited to, Social Services, Health Care, Religious Instruction (all denominations), Teaching and the Law.

Colin Higgins Foundation Youth Courage Awards
The Colin Higgins Foundation awards three $10,000 grants to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth (through age 24) who have stood up to hostility and intolerance based on their sexual orientation and triumphed over bigotry or allies who are working to end homophobia and discrimination against LGBTQ communities.

Messenger-Anderson Journalism Scholarship and Internship
The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force presents a $240,000 scholarship program for undergraduate college students who plan to pursue a degree in journalism or communications at an accredited 4-year college or university. Messenger-Anderson scholarships are available at a rate of $5,000 the first year, followed by up to $2,500 the next two years for a total award of up to $10,000. Those applicants awarded Messenger-Anderson scholarships must re-apply and qualify for renewals each year. Scholarship winners are required to participate in the 8-week Messenger-Anderson Scholarship Intern Program at the Task Force office in New York City.

Deaf Queer Resource Center Scholarships
The Deaf Queer Resource Center is proud to announce the establishment of the Deaf Queer Youth Scholarship Fund, a new fund that awards monetary scholarships to deserving self-identified Deaf Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex college-bound youth. The initial scholarships will be offered in the amounts of $250 to $500 each. In order to be considered for a scholarship, applicants must be under 25 years of age, be enrolled in high school or college, have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or better, and submit a written or video essay and other supporting documentation.

LEAGUE at AT&T Foundation
LEAGUE at AT&T Foundation awards scholarships for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender high school seniors who have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and who are actively and substantially involved in community service.
