Each individual part of the wheel (each spoke, the hub, the rim) represents an important aspect of ASA -- anthropology is our anchor and is represented in the hub, the variety in our members and our interests are represented by the spokes, and the rim represents the University of North Texas, which brought us all together.

The multi-colored aspect of the wheel is further representation of our diversity. As a unified functioning whole, the wheel represents the value we place on cultural diversity in building a strong association. Finally, it is also representative of the holistic perspective on and systemic approach to culture that is unique to the discipline of anthropology.
